You’ve got some materials leftover on the job-site, so, what do you do with them?
Make something useful!
One piece of standard plywood (4’x8′) and one standard 8′ 2×4 were left over from a work project and I was challenged to turn it into something useful for storing stuff on the job-site. The Mule is easily portable, and serves as a bench for two as well as a storage device for documents, small tools and hardhats.
The Mule is solidly jointed and the fasteners are carefully concealed. Notice how the top of bench is smooth and clean.
Below are some of the process sketches for the mule as well as two iterations of the cutlist.
